Declaration and agreement on osteopathy in our practice data protection agreement
Information on osteopathic treatment
An osteopathic treatment begins with a detailed anamnesis. The focus is
The patient's medical history in chronological order is examined, for example complications during birth, previous illnesses, operations, eating habits, current complaints, previous therapies, etc. This is followed by a detailed physical examination. Structures and tissues with altered or restricted mobility, position or tension are diagnosed and examined further.
An osteopathic treatment is carried out using only the hands. The treatment also includes parts of the body that do not appear to be causing you any problems. The cause of a problem can often be found elsewhere.
If you feel uncomfortable being touched in any area, please speak up.
Aftereffects of treatment:
After an osteopathic treatment, the body may experience reactions such as fatigue, sore muscles and an initial worsening of symptoms as it readjusts. These can definitely be seen as a positive phenomenon, as the body is reacting to the treatment. Give the reaction a few days.
Contraindications and medications
Emergencies such as a heart attack, stroke, etc. require immediate medical attention. Unexplained complaints should always be clarified by conventional medicine.
Since it is necessary to adapt the treatment to the patient when taking medication such as Marcumar, the patient is asked to name the medication during the initial anamnesis or to inform the osteopath of a new prescription during a series of treatments without being asked to do so.
Risks of chiropractic procedures:
In 1:40,000-1:2,000,000 cases, chiropractic intervention can cause damage to the nervous system. This form of treatment is always announced in advance and the patient can refuse at any time.
cost coverage / billing
The costs for a treatment vary and depend on the duration and effort involved. Between approx. 60-120 euros (usually approx. 95 euros for adults and 65 euros for babies and children), with a duration of between 30-60 minutes. For babies and children, a shorter time is usually spent.
Emergency treatments that take place outside of normal appointment times or are scheduled at very short notice may incur a higher fee.
Through recognition as a state-approved alternative practitioner, patients with supplementary insurance and privately insured patients can be billed according to the fee schedule for alternative practitioners.
Statutory health insurance companies partially cover the cost of osteopathic treatment. Please find out about reimbursement options in advance and, if necessary, obtain a private prescription from your doctor with a diagnosis and recommendation for osteopathy. You send this private prescription to the health insurance company together with the invoice you receive from us. They will transfer the partial reimbursement to you, usually 30-60 euros per treatment.
Please note: The invoice amount is due regardless of the reimbursement amount of the health insurance co-payments.
A side note: All those with statutory insurance can take out additional insurance that covers the costs of alternative medicine practitioners. This means that you can receive partial reimbursement for your osteopathic treatment regardless of your statutory insurance. It is also often advisable to take out such insurance for babies and children, as the insurance premium is only minimal.
Our invoices are sent by email. If you would like them sent by post, we charge a flat rate of 2 euros per invoice.
Appointment cancellations:
Please cancel appointments in writing - by email or Whatsapp. Appointments booked online can also be cancelled online. Agreed appointments that you cannot keep must be cancelled as early as possible, but no later than 36 hours to cancel in advance. Appointments that are not cancelled in time will be invoiced privately. Emergencies and sudden illnesses can occur at short notice. If a regular appointment takes place within the following 4 weeks, we will waive the cancellation fee. You must book this appointment yourself directly or online. However, this regulation is only once valid. In case of repeated short-term rescheduling of appointments, we reserve the right to charge for appointments.
Corona rules:
In our practice, we strive to create the safest environment for everyone and follow the protective measures imposed. Since these change depending on the situation, please check our website for the current practice rules before your appointment. Until further notice, we have decided to keep the FFP2 mask as a protective measure in the event of illness.
In case of illness, please postpone your appointment by 1-2 weeks.

As part of a liquidation according to GebüH or GoÄ, I agree that the fee items mentioned can be used for invoicing depending on the type and extent of the therapy and diagnosis.
